My name is Yolanda and I started GirlyExpressions because of my precious little one, Alexis. She's my everything! As you can see by the pic, Alexis wears glasses. Hate saying it but for kids, glasses aren't much appreciated on a kid where we live, so mommy had to think of something to make her feel as gorgeous as I know she is. She has a heart of gold and very intelligent so I try everything I can think of to make Miss Alexis feel special. It all started off as crafts that we do together because she doesn't have many friends, then it turned out to be "this is what I want to wear today, tomorrow, etc...", then she said "Mom, what about other girls? What if they want to feel special too?" So... we came up with GirlyExpressions.
I am a single mom and I work a full time job as well (Very Boring office stuff) but I have lots of bills left from a bad marriage and nasty divorce. (Not complaining, I would pay triple to not be married to him anymore). This has been a tough year and I was actually going to close down when my dad was in the hospital with pneumonia and cancer but he said I should keep this up and running before he passed away. All of my profits for now are going to care packages that I send overseas. I am recently engaged :) (asked before he was deployed and was able to ask my dad before he passed) so I send packages to them with things they need and want (CANDY!!!).
Enough of my depressing story, lol. I try not to let anyone know on my FB page what's been happening because it's so much, especially these past couple months. But I hope this gives everyone more insight as to why I have GirlyExpressions and why I keep it going. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
